Hello! My name is Alicia (Litteken) VanZuiden. I am excited for another school year here in the district! Above is picture taken [from someone else ;)] in the area we vacationed this summer, Yellowstone National Park. It was beautiful, shocking, and scary at the same time, mainly because there is a supervolcano beneath your feet!
Here is some information about speech and language and what I will be working on in therapy.
I have added additional pages containing information regarding speech and language disorders. This information can be helpful in growing your knowledge of the field and assisting individuals diagnosed with these disorders.
The American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) defines a communication disorder as the following:

A communication disorder may be evident in the processes of hearing, language, and/or speech. A communication disorder may range in severity from mild to profound. It may be developmental or acquired. Individuals may demonstrate one or any combination of communication disorders. A communication disorder may result in a primary disability or it may be secondary or related to other disabilities.
Here is my contact information. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns :).
